Co-Pastor Debra Cromwell

Co-Pastor Debra A. Cromwell is a native of Chesapeake, Virginia. Co-Pastor Cromwell is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Johnson of Chesapeake. She is also the mother of three children… Brandis, Megan, and Pastor OJ; and grandmother to Jada, Janae, Eli, Ivy-Anne, Journee, Jordyn, Joi, Ali, and James Jr.

Co-Pastor is a graduate of Crestwood High School, Chesapeake, Virginia and Norfolk State University, Norfolk, Virginia, where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. She later received her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education as well as a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.

Co-Pastor began her teaching career with Isle of Wight County Public Schools in 1975. In 1982 she transitioned to Virginia Beach Public Schools, and later to Chesapeake Public Schools in 1989 in an effort to be more aligned with her own school aged children. She completed her tenure with the public school system after 30 years, encompassing 22 years of teaching and 8 years as a school counselor.

Upon retiring in 2004, Co-Pastor assumed the role of Chancellor of Faith Diamond Christian Academy and full-filled the need of full-time administrator of Trinity Faith Diamond. As administrator, she oversees the functioning of ministries and provides counseling to the body as needed. Although the worldwide Covid-19 Pandemic resulted in the temporary closing of the academy, the ministry is frequently met with requests to reopen and continue the great legacy that has been established through her leadership.
